Road Trip to the Grand Canyon (and back)

Taking so many photos sometimes has its shortcomings, for example, I only recently realized that I never posted my photos from my Father / Son road trip to the Grand Canyon from 2018! I did a video which you can watch here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bvh3vjuBhKw but I never posted the photo gallery!

So without further ado, enjoy my photos from this awesome road trip that I took with my dad, which I will never forget.

You can buy prints of these and all my photos at https://felixgphoto.smugmug.com/

Our first stop on the way to the Grand Canyon was Sandia Peak, near Albuquerque. This is an awesome stop and the views from the top of the mountain are spectacular.

The Albuquerque Aquarium is not to be missed. It's impressive, especially considering how far Albuquerque is from the nearest ocean.

Horseshoe Bend is one of those locations that has been photographed a million times, and with good reason, but you've simply got to go and snap a photo of your very own. The view is breathtaking. It requires a short hike to get there, but we took our time and even my 82 year old father made it to the view point, it's a view I don't think either of us will forget.

Meteor Crater is another wonder that you'll find along the Highway to the Grand Canyon. It's the largest impact crater in North America. Definitely worth the stop.

And then there's the Grand Canyon. I don't think I need to say much about it other than I will always cherish the memory of seeing it for the first time with my dad.

Antelope Canyon is another scenic destination which has been photographed countless times, but until you see it for yourself, you simply can't truly appreciate the beauty that nature has created here.
You've got to capture your own photographs as well!
